removed my review because i must be wrong according to them
UPDATE based on their reply:
OK, must be my fault then
Hello Brian, we called and left you a voicemail regarding your BMW service, please give us a call at your earliest convenience and I'm certain we can resolve your concern as all of the work we have done is under a 2 year warranty. When the vehicle was towed in for service the first time the engine would not run at all and this was due to the variable camshaft sprockets, one had completely fallen apart. We replaced both of those and re-set the timing as well as took care of other related maintenance items that were a labor savings and due at 100k mile maintenance, we did not replace any sensors the first visit. ---- When you returned 11 days later with the check engine light on there were several other faults that were not there the first time, this was due to an intermittently failing Variable Valve Timing Sensor. This component is related to what was done previously as in the same system, but was not replaced as it was working properly. It is a $500 sensor so if working properly we don't recommend to preventatively replace. ----Please give us a call and we can further discuss and remedy the concern.
Sincerely Andy and Your Farmington Garage Team
